Writing a Swan Christy review is in fact a stupid thing to do. Even if you’d ask this Greek band to describe their own music this would probably not lead to a satisfying description. A few simple words that spring in to mind are strange, innovative, psychedelic, hypnotizing, original, exceptional ... man, there must be over a hundred words that would fit Swan Christy.

There must be about hundred musical references as well: David Bowie, Air, Zero 7, Tori Amos, Pink Floyd and Anathema to name a few.

What I like most is the fragile calmness, the deep hypnotizing vocals of Kostas Markris and the way in which stressed out samples and the beautiful piano play by Iraklis Gialatsidis create complete inner rest. “A Decent Album” is not an easy album, but for those of you willing to dig into the music the beauty will unfold.
