Metalblade surprises me everyday. The last few months I only received metalcore and hardcore releases from this label but with Desaster I received something really different. Something really Metalblade like: old school metal, metal as Lucifer had meant it to be.
Personally I never heard earlier work from this band even while Desaster is among us since 1988 (I was 7 in that time). Is it just me or is it the work from the band?
From the music on “Angelwhore” I didn’t get warm. Brutal vocals with fast played drums and sometimes nice quickly played riffs. | |
Sataniac (who’s responsible for the vocals) sometimes sounds false. He sounds like he has got some kind of problem and maybe it would be better if he would take some lessons how to use his voice.
You can compare the music of Desaster with a very bad Slayer cover band.
This album sounds as a good demo, not as a Metalblade release or a band that did start in 1988. It’s a pity that Metalblade released this album, it isn’t Metalblade-worthy.
