If you are charmed by the idea to touch the virgin flesh of the sword, that never was touched, if you feel a thrilling inside thinking of the unknown treasures of the old times, the sleeping cities and wonderful voyages through time and spaces, Soldier can give you a clue how to do it right now. At last they released a debut album waiting for it for more then 20 years. And what’s surprising, the 11 tracks of the "Sins Of Warrior" do not seem to be an anachronism at all.. Nothing like that! You just feel the time flowing through your fingers, but it’s not the ridiculous heap of riffs.

Soldier were at the avant-garde of the army, when Heavy Metal ruled the world. True warriors, they were young and passionate with the only one light – music. Nothing else, such as commerce, selling and etc. was important. You see, formed in 1979, they recorded a demo “Silver Screen Teaser”, signed to Heavy Metal Records in 1980, their first single “Sheralee” hit Sounds Heavy Metal Charts, was # 3 in Italy, had a massive radio support.

But permanent line-up changes and bows towards a more melodic style lead to break up in 1983. In 2002 reforming with Ian Dick (guitars) Garry Phillips (vocals) Steve Barlow (bass) and Alex Smith (drums), the warriors of NWOBHM have at last released their first born child!
Congratulations!

I appeal to all the fans of the style, to all the true metalheads, cause the CD is fantastic. Balanced, surprisingly fresh, melodic as much (and no more) as it needs, fast and slow – NWOBHM as it was when it was born, new, young, just like a little dinosaur T-Rex, born nowadays, looking around with the protogenic amazement, not knowing his power. Take a listen, you’ll be charmed.
