Slipknot is a band always full of energy and who never has heard of this band (good or bad) was locked in a basement. After three albums and a lot of touring the band thought it was time to bring out a live album.
“9.0 Live” was recorded during the “Sublimal Verses Tour 2005”.
The album begins with screaming fans and a guy who announces that: “Due to unforeseen circumstances Slipknot will not be performing this evening, we are trying to rectify this situation. We will be right back with you”. Then you hear some mad and screaming fans and the music starts with “The Blister Exists” from their third album.
The sound of the music is very good, I can’t remember I ever heard such a full sounding live album. | |
After they’ve played the first song they can’t stop, songs like “Sic”, “Disasterpiece” and a lot more are played in a fast tempo.
This album is filled with 24 songs including all the hits and a drum solo. Everything you need for a good and perfect Slipknot show.
I want to give some special attention to the booklet this time. The album contains a very nice booklet (22 pages!!) full of pictures from the tour. Things like this make it worthy to buy an album.
It isn’t very often that I think a live cd album is great (certainly in these days with DVD`s and all), but this one is outstanding!
