“The Holy Grail” is the second album by Iain Ashley Hersey and, if I have to trust on the info on the album, this one should be ‘full of the kind of expressive hard rock that only a handful of artists are able to produce these days’. Note that with this sentence nothing is actually being said about the quality of the release though.

I for one have no trouble believing that there are just a hand full of musicians that can come up with a album so full of clichés, low tempo corny rhythms, basic soloing and often heard melodies.

Add to that the whining vocals of Hersey who clearly has trouble hitting the high notes and there you have the most inconspicuous release of 2005.
