If you are a bit familiar with the Czech grind scene, Isacaarum is pretty well-known name for you. They started out as a ‘true’ black metal band in 1994, but somewhere in 1997 they changed their musical direction with the joining of vocalist Chymus, who is one of the main forces of the Obscene Productions label. He signed the band to his label and the punky grindcore career of Isacaarum was a fact.

Over the years the band created the image that they fancy all sorts of porn and S&M kind of stuff, which makes the lyrics and song titles hilarious. On ‘Shibari Kata And Other Practices’ you’ve got song titles like ‘Spermivore’, ‘Hermaphrodite Anal Express’, Bukakke Bitchbombers’ and ‘Cummageddon Final Cuntdown’.

That sort of shit really makes me laugh, even though the lyrics are obviously tongue-in-cheek. Luckily the music isn’t as hilarious as the song titles; it’s actually pretty damn good. Pounding drums and groovy yet filthy guitar riffs and a fabulous production! That needs to be said.
As a bonus ‘Shibari Kata…’ contains a (semi)live video of ‘Shit Paintress’ which is a pretty cool video.

Oh and for those of you who wonder what the hell Shibari Kata is; it’s a Japanese version of bondage. The slave is tied up in patterns with thin ropes and is actually having the pleasure because the ropes are tied against the erogenous areas. There are loads to find on the internet, so have fun and take it easy.
