This band played a lot of gigs and even did a John Peel session. So there must be something special with this DIY band.
The first album of Fixit Kid (”The Gracious Art Of Breaking Limbs”) came out at their own label Fight Me records about 1,5 year ago. Before that they released three 7”s. The Easy Way Out is the bands second full length and it’s also released on Fight Me. | |
The music Fixit Kid plays is stoner rock with a lot of (and I mean really a lot) different kinds of influences. I hear big slabs of guitars, hardcore screaming, jazz, nasty rock guitar, nice singing almost everything. But the main sound is stoner rock (that’s why Peel liked this band I think).
The Easy Way Out is a nice, not spectacular, album.
