Union Youth is a band from Bad Bentheim (Germany) and ten years ago this band could be one of the big ones. There were a lot of big labels who wanted to sign them, including Fred Durst`s label. Instead Union Youth signed a couple years ago with the German label “Eastwest”. Now, this label doesn’t exist anymore. The second full length from Union Youth is released by Eat The Beat Music.
Union Youth plays rock / grunge and sometimes I hear the old Radiohead. “The Boring Years” starts with a heavy rock song (“Yeah”). | |
This song reminds of the time when I was young. That was the time that Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden etc. ruled the music charges. I think these people really would like to be young ten years ago or they want to bring back that time when everybody smashed their guitar on stage.
So you can imagine that the music on this release is nothing new or something very special. “The Boring Years” is a nice album, I really like the song “Sweet Song”.
