Victory is releasing a lot of “clean” music. The Audition is also one of them. The Audition plays emo to the bone. “Controversy Loves Company”, the title is emo, the singer sounds emo everything about this album is emo.
All the songs are kind of the same, all the songs are pop riffs, catchy choruses and not too loud, because the kids don’t like that these days.

This is a nice pop (emo) album, but that’s what you can expect (these days) when a band can release their debut on Victory Records.
