Hell yeah!!! Get out your make up boxes, put on your high heels, here are the Billion Dollar Babies. Time seem to have stopped, the Billion Dollar Babies take me straight back to the 80’s, back to Sunset Boulevard where most guys wear more make up than your sister does. How surprised I was when I read in their bio that I’m listening to a Swedish band. Billion Dollar Babies where formed in the summer of 2005, for most bands it’s a little early to come with a promo-cd after only six months, but when your songs are of their level I will not complain. Inspired by acts such as Alice Cooper, W.A.S.P and Aerosmith, Billion Dollar Babies play glam rock of its most purest kind! First of four songs on this promo ep is ‘Love for Money’ a true glam rock killer built around a very strong riff, it’s rock ‘n roll straight on. Second in line is the Aerosmith-a-like ‘Long Legged Suzie’ a song with a very cool chorus.

‘Far away’ is a very nice (semi) ballad then we go straight on to ‘Right On Time’ the last song already on this ep. Besides bands such as mentioned above I also hear a lot of Motley Crue and L.A. Guns in their songs. Their four songs are very well produced, and sound nice and dirty, just the way it should sound. Is their nothing to complain? Yes there is, they play very, very nice music but I constantly got the idea that I’m listening to a Motley Crue cover band. Considering that the band only plays together for half a year that is not a big problem. They have time enough to work on their own sound.
