“Our Dying Grace” is the second MCD from this Swedish melodic thrash band from Denver Colorado. Yes people, the melodic death metal virus has also spread itself to that region. And I must say that Serberus certainly can compete with many bands in this genre only the bad part is that they sound as a really big In Flames rip off. And that’s a pity. Only the vocals are more black metal minded, and so is the corpse paint the band uses live, strange sight with this kind of music. Serberus certainly has some song writing abilities but I hope the band gets an own character in the future.

I personally would experiment with some more black metal influences. On the other hand ‘Our Dying Grace” is well produced and the multimedia part on this release is genial. A biography, pictures and even some video clips. And I do not see this that often with self financed releases. Last but not least. The Destruction cover “Curse the Gods” sounds all right, but the intro (of this release) should not have been there. Boring, done too much times. A promising new band for the future.
