According to themselves Bible Of The Devil plays brutal tuneful garage metal on ‘Brutality, Majesty, Eternity. I think Bible Of The Devil needs to learn how to tune their instruments first. Both guitar players play constantly out of tune or out of time, witch shows especially during the Iron Maiden-like twin solo’s. Besides that the songs aren’t that bad, only the performance is very poor. I think that if the band had paid some more attention to the guitar sound it could have been a very acceptable album. | |
I also wonder why Mark Hoffman has to sing so raw when his clean vocals in ‘Cocaine Years, Cocaine Tears’ are so beautiful. In most other songs he sounds like poor combination of Lemmy (motorhead) and Paul Di’Anno (former Iron Maiden). Bible Of The Devil surely knows how to write nice rock/metal songs in a way Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin did more than twenty years ago; they should only pay more attention to their performance.
