Youth sentiment, a legendary video clip with “I wanna Rock”, and one of my first concerts, with supporting act Metallica (!) in a venue in a village nearby: Twisted Sister. Funny to hear this different bands play their interpretation of the classic TS songs. Opening with the earlier mentioned “I wanna Rock” by Lit. Coming close to the original, but not as good. Then a very powerful version of “Shoot ‘em down” in the Motorhead way. Bands like Cradle of Filth, Overkill, and Vision of Disorder with extremely rebuild versions of TS classics.

The Anthrax version of “Destroyer” is a very good one, the same song with another identity. Most bands make it clear Dee Snider and his companions influenced them, and give their best. Just two songs of which I had expected more: though I have great respect for both Joan Jett and Fu Manchu, their versions of “We’re not gonna make it” and “Ride to live…” are disappointing, maybe even boring. To end the album there is a Twisted Sister version of the AC/DC classic “Sin City”.
