Dripping greasy oil and fuming smoke like a foul dragon the rusty chainsaw awakens. After a furious war cry the apparatus does what is does best: cutting things. Monotonously rattling the machine bites its way through juicy flesh. A piercing scream is the dominating sound for a short while, being replaced again by the buzzing of the chainsaw. White bone splinters, sticky red blood and gore of undefined colour splatter from the fresh wound.

“Gospel of the Insane” is destructive and aggressive black metal, rampaging our simple souls from beginning to end. The war machine Bestial Mockery is best compared to a mix of Deströyer 666, Marduk and Slayer, playing thrashy black metal with fast and overwhelming parts. Monotonous repetitive parts contradicting with melodious screaming guitar parts cause a combative and hostile attitude. Throughout the album samples of chainsaws, bombings and suffering people add to the brutal atmosphere of the music.

Bestial Mockery hails from Sweden and was formed in 1995 by Master Motorsåg (vocals) and Warslaughter (drums). During the years of its existence, several more members came to, and left the band. In its current state, Bestial Mockery consists of Micke Doomfanger (guitars), Ted Bundy (guitars) and DevilPig (bass), in addition to its two founders. Gospel of the Insane is their third full length album (after “Christcrushing Hammerchainsaw” in 2002 and “Evoke the Desecrator” in 2003). Besides that, they’ve released lots of demos and split albums.

The cold stone floor of the desecrated church is full with headless bodies. A scared little nun enters the miasmic scene, almost slipping in the crimson pools of fresh blood. Her Eyes widen, the shocking sight is unbearable! She turns to flee, horrid images burned in her virgin mind, only to stand face to gruesome face with the Chainsaw Executioner…
