Incarnated is a new band to me, but according to their biography they exist for quite some time now. The band was formed in 1992 in Bialystok, Poland. In almost 15 years the band released some demos, splits and one (!) full length album. ‘Pleasure Of Consumption’ is their second full length and their first on SelfMadeGod.

The music on ‘Pleasure Of Consumption’ is best described as raw, old school death metal with some grind influences. The drums blast on and on, but luckily it’s never a real blast fest. The guitar and bass sounds are really dirty (in a positive way) with some extreme distortion and some dirty fuzz, which creates the grind sound in my opinion.

Incarnated mentions Entombed, Dismember and Nihilist and other old school Swedish Style death metal bands as their influences and I only can say: they are right. This music takes you back to the late eighties and early nineties.

As a bonus there are three extra songs from a studio session from 1997 on ‘Pleasure Of Consumption’. Personally I like those recordings better than the new ones, but hey, don’t let me stop you.
