LOS is an unknown Swedish band to me, but after hearing the first couple of notes of ‘Bad Intentions…’ I wondered why I never heard of these guys. I really dig their music. It’s a mixture of hardcore, punk and some rock.
LOS has been around since 2002 and after releasing a couple of EP’s, the band finally started working on their debut full length album.
The sound of LOS is pretty original in the emo scene (how I hate that word!). No smooth and over produced vocals and sugary sweet guitar riffs, but hoarse screaming in key with some very decent guitar riffs. | |
Add some cool, pounding drums and there you go: LOS. The finishing touch is added by producer Klas Ideberg (Darkane, Terror 2000) and the sober artwork.
I noticed in a couple of other reviews on this album that there was some comment on the vocals, them being irritating and stuff like that. I think the vocals are cool and pretty original in this genre. And in one way or another they remind me of some band, but I just can’t seem to remember what band, aaargh.
Well, just check it out will you!
