Yellowcard sold a lot of copies from their last effort “Ocean Avenue”. With a lot I mean really a lot and with really a lot I mean more then a million (that’s a lot, isn’t it?).
For the people who don’t know, Yellowcard plays popular punk music with some emo influences. The music is perfect for every thirteen year old MTV kid. But there’s something different with this band. They are not just an average popular poppunk band.

The album contains up-tempo poppunk songs but also a lot of listening songs. I don’t think the readers of Rockezine are waiting for this kind of music.

In the easy listening songs the band uses a lot of violin and piano. The songs are too boring and slow for me. I prefer the faster punkrock songs. They are easy listening and nice for (as I mentioned before) every thirteen year old MTV, skateboard freak.

I really want to mention that the album starts with a very famous tune from the song “Big Big Girl” from Emilia. And can’t figure out why they did that.
Yellowcard delivered a nice album and people who like Blink 182, Good Charlotte and more of the MTV generation should check this album out.
