Angel Blake is the new band or solo project from former The Crown guitar player Marko Tervonen. After the split up of the Crown he thought that he had to do a new thing in music and with music. So he started Angel Blake.

All instruments on this album are played by mister Tervonen himself; unfortunately the guy thinks he can’t sing. So he hired Tony Jelencovich (ex-Transport league and Mnemic) for the singing part.

If you listen this album don’t expect some second hand The Crown-alike band or some band who wants to get big on The Crowns popularity.

Angel Blake is something different. Angel Blake plays heavy melancholic songs with catchy riffs. After the intro the song “Retaliate” starts. This song has got a very catchy riff and maybe some hit potential. The whole album is full of nice songs which should sound cool on a summer festival I guess.

There’s one thing I want to mention: The Rolling Stones cover of “ Paint It Black” is not very strong. In fact it’s a bit redundant. Other than that Angel Blake is a worthy debut album
