The new Sworn Enemy has arrived, and we had to wait three years for it. For the people who don’t know this band: Sworn Enemy is from New York and they used to play so called New York hardcore. Sworn Enemy combined hardcore with a lot of metal influences (they call this metalcore in the rest of the world.)

On this new album you can say that Sworn Enemy plays another style. This band plays now more thrashmetal with a lot of hardcore influences. The last three years this band had a lot of line-up changes and that’s maybe the reason for the more thrash orientated style they play.

“The Beginning Of The End” starts with the great hardcore song “Forgotten”. The rest of the album is more thrash orientated with a lot of nice guitar solos and great mosh-parts. Vocalist LoCoco did a great job on this album but sometimes when I close my eyes while listening this album I think: “Is that Freddy Madball I hear?”

“The Beginning Of The End” is really not the beginning of the end. This album is the best album they could make at this time and it’s more of a new start for Sworn Enemy. Great album.
