Two years ago I heard for the first time of this band from Roermond (The Netherlands). Liftid is a hard working band which never gives up. They do a lot of promotional activities and played a lot of shows. A few years ago they also played the well known Pinkpop festival. When do you need to stop whit your promotion activities and think if there’s future for your band? Liftid is never going to do that, I think.
The new D.I.Y. album is called “Starting Fire” and is packed in a nice cardboard package, this alone is worth buying.

Liftid have grown on their second full length; the songs are a lot more complete and vocalist Nick has worked on his vocals. Liftid still plays with a lot of energy. The music they make is funky with some metal and hardcore influences.

The album also contains some extra footage for your computer, you’ll find a video clip and some recording session material.
“Starting Fire” is a nice album and maybe this will be their breakthrough.
