Bleed the Dream is a band from LA. In 2004 the band had released already 2 ep’s on it’s own label, in 2005 Warcon Enterprises LLC signed the band and released their first full album “Built By Blood” in West Europe in march 2006. This young band has played a lot of gigs during their tour though the USA in 2004 and 2005. Drummer Scott Gottlieb became ill while he was on the road and the diagnosis was leukemia. Scott wrote and played drums on “Built by Blood” but unfortunately he lost his short battle with cancer in 2005. In his honor, the band plays on, “Built by Blood” is dedicated him.

The music is best described as now-metal combined with punk, pop and hardcore influences.

As a great guitar fan I really miss the guitar solos. I actually don’t think that guitar solos are the condition for good songs, but without any solo at all the songs are becoming similar to each other.

The vocals of Brandon Thomas remind me of Mikkel of Mercenary, sometimes Thomas is screaming full of anger, than again he is singing melodic. The eleven songs vary from Metal (“Legends Die”, “Taste The Change”, “Destroying Something Beautiful”) to teenage rock (“Should Have Known”). My favorite song is definitely “Broken Wings”, an emotional tribute to Scott Gottlieb.
