The beginning of Ignite brings us back to 1995, the year when they released their first recordings. Eleven years, many tours and three albums later it is the year 2006. We had to wait six years for the new Ignite album and it has become an album well worth the wait.
Ignite still plays melodic hardcore/ punk as they did on all previous albums. After a sing-a-long intro the album starts with “Bleeding” (also a great sing-a-long song) and after 36 minutes and 14 songs, sing-a-long and some slow songs the album ends.
So nothing has changed you could say. Yes there’s one thing changed. Ignite has got a new record label, Century Media will release this album in Europe and Abacus in the rest of the world. | |
You can also find a cover from U2 on this release. Why they put it again on an album remains a question+ the song also appeared on the European version from “A Place Called Home”. Maybe the American fans asked for it. Normally I don’t like it when a band covers one of the biggest and best bands of all-time but this time I´ll make an exception. Ignite plays “Sunday Bloody Sunday” very nice
Check out this great release or check out the band on stage, because they’re going to tour all summer in Europe and the US.
