This vegan/vegetarian straight-edge band doesn’t need an introduction. When I’m talking about one of the biggest vegan/vegetarian straight-edge bands everybody knows I’m talking about Liar from Belgium.

Last year there was the bands 10 years anniversary and together with their anniversary they released a new album (‘Murder Manifesto’)on GSR-music. That album put them back on the road.
But there’s one album that did put Liar on the map about nine years ago (1997). That’s the (nowadays) classic ‘Invictus’. Genet Records re-released this great classic album because the album was sold out and every metal and hardcore fan should have this album in their cupboard.

On this re-release are not only the 11 songs which appeared on the original release; luckily there are a lot of extra’s you get with it.

First there are the songs ‘Teach Me Violence’ (original from SS Decontrol), ‘Grave’ and ‘Circle Of Blood’ as bonus studio tracks. If you still haven’t heard enough words about the vegan way of living you can listen to songs like ‘New Born Fire’, ‘Shatter’, ‘Stormwind’ and a lot of more classic Liar songs.

You get also a DVD with this album. The DVD features a compilation of shows they played back in 1996 and 1997. Here you can see how a band should play on stage. Wonderful DVD, this DVD has really surplus value for the Liar fans and the metal and hardcore kids.

All the metal and hardcore fans should get this release; even if you’re not a vegan.
