"Melodic power metal with the many and varied emotions of love/hate, inner feelings and hopelessness as the focus of deep ambitious lyrics". That’s what Ureas website has to say about the music and why I was looked forward to listen to this first full-length.
“Intoxicated”, the first track of album, is a mid-tempo song with a catchy chorus. Note-worthy is the third track, “In My Life”, which is about the male singers suicide attempt back in 2002. A track that reflects emotion and feelings perfectly. | |
Other tracks that can be seen as worth listening to are “I am who I am” and “Spiritually Possessed”. Both have got a nice melodic, intense sound.
Some of the other tracks sound a bit like Ozzy or slightly classic. This couses nice variation on the album. Overall this Danish band sounds OK, but is far off from writing a sensational album. Yet, I’m sure we’ll hear more of these guys in the future.
