The main purpose of the release of a live CD from the 2005 Foreigner tour is probably to promote this album on stage in 2006. Foreigner tours the world from late January till September! The cd features twelve tracks, among which the hits ‘Cold As Ice’, ‘That Was Yesterday’ and of course ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’. As a matter of fact there’s only one track included that you won’t find on the ‘Complete Greatest Hits’ compilation that hit the shops some time back. The songs, all full length, were recorded at Texas Station, Las Vegas in November 2005. I can be brief about the sound quality: it’s top notch.

As a matter of fact the sound is a little bit too good, if you’re really into live recordings. At times you get the impression that you’re listening to a studio recording with some applauding and cheering brought into the mix. Clearly Foreigner live performances are that good ;-). This release also features a DVD. As one might expect from a bonus dvd, it’s only slightly interesting for the die hard fans. The interview with Mick Jones, alternated with snippets of live footage, clocks fifteen minutes and is rather shallow.
