The godfathers of the melodic Swedish death metal, In Flames, are back with a new release. But unfortunately this isn`t their 6th studio album. No, this is their first official live release. Recorded during one of their concerts they did in Japan to promote their latest release called "Clayman". And it certainly shows off that the Japanese crowd goes crazy for this band. The sound is good and even gets better during the concert. In Flames certainly choose the right songs for this live-release, considering the fact that they were promoting "Clayman" at that time. They played songs of almost all their records. "Behind Space", "Jotun", "Gyroscope", "Scorn" and of course many songs of their last two releases like "Bullet Ride", "Pinball Map", "Only for the Weak", "Clayman" and "Colony". | |
All songs are played very tight and In Flames really seems to be in top-condition. Vocalist Friden treats the audience on statements as: "How is my favorite city doing tonight!!!" and "I think we are going to have a great time here". I think In Flames succeeded in releasing a great live-show. So fans of this band certainly can buy this release with their eyes closed. For people who don`t know In Flames, go shame yourself, this is a great opportunity to get to know all of this great live-band. (Teun) |
