This folk metal band from Sweden, that was formed in 1995, did quite a good job with their previous release called “Vredens Tid”. It was received very well so the expectations for this new album were high.

The sound of Månegarm can be described as both original and exciting. The album starts off with the sound of a thunderstorm and through the album nature sounds come back several times.

Except of clean vocals (male & female) there is time for acoustic parts too.
The production is excellent, it doesn’t sound too overproduced and the instruments are all mixed very well. Though this band isn’t as good as Thyrfing and Moonsorrow yet, they are pretty good and the album is enjoyable.
