For the first time in my reviewers carreer I stumbled on an info leaflet that actually hit the nail on the head. A proper description of the music on the silver disc, plain and simple lacking the usual bragging and comparisons with the biggest bands in the genre. ‘No bullshit - just great pop tunes in their purest form - soaring, hooky, carstereo pumping rock songs with choruses that stick in your head...’ Since the leaflet covers all there has to be said about this solo release I have no urge at all to come up with my own words to cover the same message.

‘Detroit’s Love Arcade manages to write songs that effortlessly channel the last two decades of pop music - 80`s radio pop and 90`s guitar squalls - and morph it into instantly catchy two-minute sonic confetions. Reminiscent of Cheap Trick and Weezer - the album is a potent reminder of everything currently missing with contemporary rock ‘n roll radio - including a sense of humor’. Amen to that!
