In 1996 bassist Mario Lochert and guitarist/vocalist Fabian Kießling formed the German band Emergency Gate. They played a mix of old-school metal, Nu-metal and melodies. In 2005 they started to record their debut-album Nightly Ray. Finally 2006 the album was released in Europe; I believe the music will do very well on the gigs, the album itself I think is disappointing a bit.
The vocals sound electronic, the songs are rather short, but surely the worst is the cover of “Rock me Amadeus”. | |
I don’t like covers very much, this cover doesn’t add the slightest value to the album. The last song, Eternal Echo, is an acoustic ending of the album. I don’t know why the band recorded this song, for me the album takes 1 minute 55 too long.
This album will not see my cd-player again.
