The second release of mark lind this month. He also wrote a solo record ‘Death or Jail’ and a new Ducky Boys album called ‘The War Back Home’.

This review will be about the latter. Ducky boys suprised everyone two years ago when they released ‘Three Chords And The Truth’, in my opinion the best punk rock album of that year; a lot of energy, simple riffs, catchy choruses and a shitload of streetpunk made this album almost classic.
It’s always hard to make a follow up to a succesfull record but Ducky Boys are proving with ‘The War Back Home’ that stress and pressure isn’t in their dictionary. ‘The War Back Home’ is a diffenrent album. Its not simply a follow up, no, they now are the perfect middle of Bruce Springsteen, The Clash and Social Distortion.

Instead of the speed of ‘Three Chords’ they don’t put the pedal to the floor on this record. Some songs like `Contrived And Treacherous` and `This Time Last Year` are almost melancholic.
If you want to have full frontal in your face punk you maybe have to search for a new record, but if you want some quality, some atmosphere in punkrock and some good song writing this definitely will be your record. ‘Bombs Away’, ‘Celebrate’ and ‘War Back Home’ are songs that will stay in your head for a long time. I like this evolution. Therefore, respect for Mark and his ducky boys.
