Founding member of ‘The Blue Bloods’, TJ Welch decided to form a new band: The Welch Boys with a former member of Slapshot. It has nothing to do with Slapshot. More with The Blue Bloods, but mixed with a dosage of Discipline.

On this selftitled CD are 15 sing along streetpunk tracks mixed with some oi, comparable to Discipline (like mentioned before, after this I won’t use that name again) and Street Dogs. It resulted in an album full of quality songs. The enthousiasm literally punches you in the face while listening to this.

So don’t look surprised if you wake up between all your clothes and CD`s with some spaghetti on your shirt. You will trash the room in all of your enthousiasm with your fist in the air, like a tapir on acid.
I can make a note on the music and lyrics, that these are too simple, cliché etc. But why? This band doesn’t need to be original or make intelligent music. Other bands will do that, the Welch Boys just want to give us a perfect record for the ears. Perfect for the summer. Perfect for a Saturday night.
