Like Nora has a dinner with Everytime I die and suddenly Remembering Never shows up to start an barfight.
Let me introduce to you: Anterrabae, from Long Island and they have questions. Questions and opinions, which they vent in their lyrics. And because of the existentialistic subjects of the songs you can’t get short titles, so you get ‘It Takes More Than Metal To Move A Bull’, ‘Investigating The Phantom Signal’ and ‘Shit Happens When You Party Naked’(Brilliant title, Bad Santa influence?).
What do you get with this record? A band that is still searching, but already have built the foundation of their idea of music, making songs like they want to, with less restrictions and much danger.

And if that means that they need some poetic Lyrics, so be it. If that means they need some breakdowns like Remembering Never, so be it. And if it means that they spherical and brutal strains, sometimes at the same time, so be it.
This is one of the better CD’s I’ve heard this year in this specific genre. From catchy backline vocals to carefully hidden samples and a cool instrumental song (fast Isis song). Listen for yourself with headphones. These guys sure know how to play.
Anterrabae will rise.
