In 2004, Lacrimas Profundere released the successful album "Ave End", and now they are back with their seventh full-length, called "Filthy notes for frozen hearts". The album is produced by John Fryer (HIM, Nine Inch Nails, Paradise Lost), so it isn`t very surprising that the music of Lacrimas Profundere is comparable with HIM, though less poppy.

The voice of Christopher Schmid seems to sound the same as Type O Negative singer Peter Steele.

The music consists of catchy melodies and powerful guitars. There are some up-tempo tracks like “My Velvet Little Darkness”, “To Love Her On Knees” and “Again It’s Over”. Absolute highlights are the slow melancholy tracks “My Mescaline” and the symphonic “Sad Theme For a Marriage”.
