Frontside from Poland claim to be Europe’s answer to Killswitch Engage and Bleeding through. In their home country they won the ‘Best Heavy Metal Album Of The Year’ award with their previous album. In my opinion Frontside doesn’t really come close to the two mentioned bands though. With a song like ‘We are destined to burn’ they try to reach the metalcore market with a catchy chorus and some Hatebreed breakdowns. The outro of the song could have been on ‘The end of heartache’ by KSE.
This band brings nothing unique to the table, they’re just a copy of every band selling a lot of records right now. | |
Don’t get me wrong, this cd isn`t terrible eighter. Some of the riffs are pretty good and the production sounds more than OK. But all in all this release just doesn’t meet the standard of metalcore nowadays.
If you can’t get enough of metalcore and like to check out every band in the genre, then check out Frontside you probably like them. If you`re not looking for another ‘Copyband’ that is flooding the metalcore market, then you can let Frontline pass you by without ever regretting it.
