After their last full-length in 2002 (Soulles & Proud), this quartet decided it was time for a new album; Lifeblood. Blackshine started from a death metal basis, but now with their third full-length there is only a taste left from it. The rest can be called Goth ‘n Roll, deep and deadly.

In some tracks you can hear the influences from Sentenced and Lacuna Coil.

Though every song had its own character, it’s not innovative. Some songs are melodic, other are solid and powerful, but none of them sounds new to me.

Perhaps an recommend for those who like Sentenced.
