I’ve tried a couple of Spanish releases over the last few months. I find it hard to enjoy any of the uptempo hard rock with boring riffs, horrible multiple vocal sections and ... the language. I absolutely love the sound of Spanish. I absolutely hate Spanish rock vocals. The Spanish articulation just isn’t suitable for heavy metal or hard rock. Luckily Silver Fist has little to offer music wise.

I don’t have to bash this band for the Spanish vocals only. The tracks on “Ave Fenix” are too much alike, flat and very boring. They lack any form of inspiration. This is heavy metal out of the book – a very old book that is. Someway this seems to be characteristic for the Spanish heavy metal scene. Might be a good question for an interview...
