The Sleeping’s “Questions And Answers” came to me as a surprize. First of all I’m usually not that keen about Victory releases. This one is an exception.
The Long Island guys of The Sleeping have created an album full of musical references, all mixed up in powerful, very crisp, up-tempo emo rockers that you are bound to dig. The music sounds fresh and original, progressive yet accesible for a broad audience.

One of the main things I admire is the way in which the combination of prog rock, emo and hardcore are turned into a popular sound that is consistant the whole album through. The Sleeping is truly dynamic. I’d love to see these guy take the roof off my local concert hall. “Questions And Answers” is an impressive release, probably the best ever on Victory Records.
