When the band Celestial Sanctuary decided that they had to stop with the band. three people from that band decided that they needed a new music project in their lifes. They started looking for a vocalist and a bass player and a few months later Deathrage was a fact. And this Deathrage story started somewhere in the beginning of 2005.
At the end of 2005 Deathrage started with the recording of this demo. Deathrage visited the “Wings Of Death” studio in Harderwijk (the Netherland) to put three songs on tape.
The sound of three songs are very nice. The songs are full of heavy riffs with a lot off trash and death metal influence. | |
The songs are not very creative, they sound like all the heavy black bands sound in their beginning.
The production of the album is far from good. The sound is dull, I think there’s some dust on the microphones while recording. The solo’s need some more volume etc.
In conclusion, I can say that Deathrage made a nice demo. When the band keeps on practicing and playing live, it’s maybe something to pay more attention to. Check their site (www.deathrage.nl) for some live gigs or how to order this three track demo.
