This German cultband is different from other bands. Not only when it comes to the music, but their entire approach. In 2002 they released a comic called "Scum". Mörser recorded 4 songs as the soundtrack for the comic. Both the comic and the soundtrack were sold out in no time. For their newest release they planned to do the same thing with a comic called “Pure”, but things didn’t work out with the comic. So they decided to combine the Scum and Pure songs into a full-length album called “Pure Scum”.
Mörser’s sound can be described as a combination of Bolt Thrower, Entombed, Systral and War Music. The vocals give the music an overall sick touch. Mörser just does what they want to do and don’t really focus on trends or hypes. | |
Other nice things to know about Mörser is:
- they have seven members; 2 singers, 2 bass players, 2 guitar players and just 1 drummer.
-don’t expect Mörser to play a show when Werder Bremen is playing a soccer match, they’re die-hard fans.
These things make Mörser into what they are.
There isn’t a comic this time but Mörser put some enjoyable extra features on Pure Scum.
-2 short comic movies
- Mörser bar movie
-Lots of pin ups
-Scum trailer
-2 previews
If you like what Mörser did in the past you’ll like this new stuff as well. Mörser will stay Mörser.
