Way back, way back in time there were some kids that met eachother on hardcore shows where bands like Slapshot were playing and decided they wanted to form their own band. They named theirself Wrecking Crew.
In January 1988 they hit the studio for the first time and recorded 8 tracks. 4 songs of them showed up on a 7’’ they released (and almost became cult). The next effort was this album called ‘balance of terror’. Now in 2006 it sees the light again. With a full story in the booklet with the history from the band.
Balance of terror is a crossover old school hardcore band that will remind you of bands that were active in the scene in the eighties/nineties. | |
Bands like Warzone, Discharge and some cro-mags influences. Not the typical Boston sound, they also using some metal/rock and roll influences from Motorhead, to name a band.
It’s good I scream are releasing old stuff on cd, so everyone is able to buy it and listen to it with good quality and for older fans who wanted to feel this music again. This is not the complete history, but it’s a start. Nice thing this is finally out.
