The Order, a quintet that’s based in Switzerland, consists of 3 former members of the band GURD. They are known for playing classic hard rock and modern metal and with Son Of Armageddon, they release their debut album. But not until the second song does the record take off properly. This song, Son Of Armageddon, the title song, definitely stands out with its catchy riff. The rest of the tracks are all somehow the same, except for the two ballads Loved Died and Not Satisfied, that have been foolishly put one after the other. Those two songs bring a certain breathing space between the heavier songs, but it would have been better if they had been put more spread between the other tracks.

The way those tracks are put in order now may make the listener want to press the stop-button because he’s getting bored. But all in all, this record can be a pleasant one to listen to between two metal records, although it is a perfect example of ‘just not it’: the singer misses the extra force in his voice to make the vocals stand out and the music can do with a little more personal twist from the band.
