Normally I start a review with some info about the band. But this time I don’t. If you want to know more about this band then check their website or read the reviews of their earlier releases. The website can be found here. The earlier reviews we did can be found here (this is the review from the album “The Horror Of Realization” written by Lars) and here (the review from “Design Your Fate” written by Friso).

After reading the reviews and visiting their site you should know enough about this band from Orange County.

Scars Of Tomorrow play typical metalcore. That means good moshparts and brutal screaming. It also means that they are not special, I think there are about a thousand bands that make this kind of music nowadays.
The same as the other bands, Scars Of Tomorrow have got a vocalist that sings clean parts. And off course it is false. Why does a vocalist try to sing when he has got such a nice brutal voice? I don’t know, maybe the wants to be emo.

“The Failure In Drowning” is a release that sounds like all the other metalcore releases that are out there these days, which means having a good sound, playing well, but being nothing special. That’s all I can say about this release.
