Fearsome Records is a small label from the Netherlands and until now they only released two albums from Mortuary I.O.D. and three samplers called Blown To Pieces.
At this moment I’m listening to Blown To Pieces 4. I know you must think: “that must be the new Fearsome Records sampler”. And you’re right, this is the new Fearsome Records sampler.

The sampler is full off bands I never heard of before and that’s a good thing. With these kind of samplers you learn a lot of new bands and metal styles. The bands on this sampler are not only from the Netherlands but also from Italy, Germany and Belgium.

As with most of these (cheap) samplers the production and quality difference between the bands is very high. Sometimes I’m listening to a very nice song while the next song is recorded in somebody’s basement. The sound in the basement is so bad that you think you can hear their mom screaming: “Please stop making that scary noise!”.

But this is not important for a sampler, the important thing is that the world knows that there are a lot of bands practising in their mom’s basement.

One of the bands on this sampler that impresses me is the first one, Devious. Devious plays death metal on a really high level and I hope for the band that they find a suitable label.
The second band on this sampler is Gilo. The band plays a genre that is (I think it is) already dead, they play “nu-metal” with a lot of Korn influence.

This sampler is really worth listening. There’s always a song on this sampler you might like and it isn’t a bad thing for you to hear some other music/bands then the one you’re listening to since…, well lets say your whole live.
