Sometimes I listen to a cd which I like very much but still nothing sticks. Unpure Burial from Sudden Death is a cd just like that. Sudden Death also reminds me of another band I have the same experience with, called Pissing Razors. Musically and vocally they have some in common. Unpure Burial is Sudden Death`s first album and was already released in the USA a half a year ago. Now, the album will be released in Europe. This is an album which will not upset you; a perfect festival background cd. Pure (thrash) metal, but also some influences from Pantera and heavy nu-metal.

These ten songs are mean and the band really showcases their passion for metal. However, I wonder if people will decide to buy this cd, because generally, it is a little bit too mediocre. As a whole, it listens pretty well, but it sounds just like a 42-minute metal grenade with nothing really memorable. This cd mostly reminds me of the `94-`98 era in which a lot of bands like Frozen Sun (Danish), Pissing Razors, Frastuono and Headshot - to name but a few - were making this kind of music. Brutal and heavy, yet no classic.
