Tommy Werry is a guitar player. In the last decade he worked with a lot of well-known artists and shared the stage with bands like Metallica, Journey, Ratt, Montrose, Y&T, Testament, Armored Saint, Iron Butterfly, Faith No More and artists like Tony MacAlpine, Joe Satriani, Lita Ford and Michael Schenker; all in one a quite impressive list.

The line-up of the band, besides Tommy Merry (guitar, of course), consists of James Beard (rhythm and 2nd leads) and Brian Shearn (drums and percussion). On the album Tommy Merry3 there are no guest musicians, but the influences of some of the above mentioned artists are clearly audible.

A lot of the songs sound like the Satriani-material (‘FOG’, ‘Kelly Green’). Even the spirit of Michael Schenker is wandering about; ‘The Hell You Say’ has quite some similarities with the MSG song ‘Into the Arena’. As a melodic and classical schooled guitar player Merry has recorded an almost obliged opus. With ‘Rites of Passage’ the band even recorded a metal song, with heavy riffs and fast guitar solos.

Tommy Merry3 is a melodic instrumental album with a superb sound that surely will be appreciated by fans of Joe Satriani; the emphasis lies on melodic rock songs with emotional solos.
