I must admit I’m not a big fan of bands like Nightwish or Within Temptation. But when you listen to these bands you know why they are so big. Their sound is powerful, the songs are catchy and their singer has a beautiful voice. Elis from Liechtenstein misses all these elements on their new album Griefshire. The singer doesn’t have the voice to sing in a gothic band.

You can hear she doesn’t give it all and her voice lacks power and beauty. Song wise the album isn’t that bad and has a catchy ring to it. But the production makes Griefshire sound like a demo. There’s absolutely no power in these recordings and they can’t convince my objective mind.
