Ever wondered how a hard rock/heavy/power metal outfit would sound with a man like Zucchero on vocals? Well, here’s your chance. Warcry is a virtuose and higly melodic up-tempo metal act fronted by a man you’d expect to be performing at popular podia in Mediterranean beach resorts, singing with a pretty stubbly-bearded Latin face about life and love with a slick and hoarse voice, seducing the female audience. Peculiar? You bet. Good? Well, for me a bit too much to say the least. Where with this kind of music good vocal lines are essential these create just a bit too much the notion of listening to an intended tear-yerker each and every song.

If not really my thing, the music in respect to performance, sense of melody and dynamics is quite acceptable however, while not avoiding the over-saturated genre’s clichés but creating easy listenable songs with a certain potential of becoming a new sensation in Salou or Ibiza. I`d say just send your promo to the relevant radio stations, festivals organizers and local club owners and Warcry will be sure to provide the soundtrack for many Mediterranean love-stories to come.
