Here’s the recipe: put together four highly motivated musicians, add a good lot of perseverance and top the whole with a lot of energy and power. This will give you Scotland’s finest: Our Lunar Activities. With It Comes In Waves, this Scottish quartet has released its first single on Neon Netra Records. Listening to the track, the first thing to pop up in my mind is Placebo: not only does the chorus remind you of the one in Pure Morning (by Placebo), but the singer’s voice has something about it that immediately makes you think of Brian Molko – which, obviously, is a huge compliment.

The chorus is one that, after having heard the song only once, will haunt you for the rest of the day. And the catchy guitar leads and rhythms aren’t easy to get out of your head either. If they are able to fill a whole record with this kind of songs – which I strongly believe they are – these Scottish boys will easily persuade the audiences and prove that there’s more to the Scots than only their accent, kilts or bagpipes.
