A bunch of ‘beer buddies’ decided to take their hobby band to the next level. That’s not a bad decision because The Summit Of Creation is the good sounding debut cd of Apocrypha from the Netherlands. The style is melodic black metal. I hear influences of bands like Dimmu Borgir, Emperor and Theory In Practice.
With the coming of new vocalist Manoloxx (what’s in a name) the band has a good and diverse singer. | |
Though the production isn’t brutal enough to blow you away, you can certainly hear that Apocrypha knows how to write a song and could be a name we’ll hear more from in the future. A very promising debut album.
