Cypher is the name of a new Dutch trash metal band and I only had one thought after listening to their debut the first time. My thought was: “wow!!!”.

The last months I heard a lot of rumours about this band, but I never heard some music of them. Rusty Cage Records found them, did put the guys in the studio and released this record. I think that this is the best thing the people from Rusty Cage ever did in their lives.

With Darkday Carnival Cypher already released a classic, this album is a killer with everything; the vibe, the sound, the lay out, everything is almost perfect.
Opener ‘Fortune My Foe’ shows directly the quality of this band.

The vocalist, simply called T, has a really brutal voice and did put his feelings on this record.
Cypher combines the typical Swedish metal sound with some of their own stuff and that makes it so good.
I’m looking for some good words to describe the feeling I’ve got with this release; I’m sorry I can’t find them. You need to listen to it for yourself. This album is sublime, and as Immanuel Kant says: “You need to experience a sublime experience for yourself, you can’t describe it.”.

Check this release out and keep an eye on Cypher. This band has potential to become big, bigger and maybe the biggest.
